Is asking for help a sign of weakness?
The exact opposite is true. People who are willing to ask for help have the strength to admit they don’t have all the answers and want to learn and grow. This is a sign of a successful problem solver. Stubborn, rigid people think they are right and everyone else is wrong. They wouldn’t change if their life (marriage, job, children) depended on it.
Marriage and Family Problems:
Everyone has them, but at times they can become overwhelming. A move, job change, or other crises can cause marital difficulties and disharmony within the family. Tempers flare or resentment is left to smolder. When negative emotions get out of control, when tension becomes unbearable, it’s time to ask for help.
Sometimes it's me:
You probably tell yourself you should be able to handle it and wonder why you are not. Each of us is different, but our feelings will show up in being irritable, drinking too much, smoking too much, being depressed, being nervous, not having an appetite, not sleeping or sleeping too much. Sometimes we just feel sick or have trouble thinking clearly. It’s time to get help!
TEENAGERS AND CHILDREN
Our children have problems but they usually don't tell us directly. They talk about their feelings through their actions; staying in their room, poor grades, fights, drugs or irritability. They rarely ask for help, so you need to ask for them.

Somewhere, someone has given behavioral health a bad name, but I beg to differ. Saying you need help makes you a winner, in my book. I started seeing my counselor around 2016 and this is when I began to deal with my PTSD issues and I have been victorious. Jeffrey Robbins has helped me make a blueprint to victory over my combat stress and issues. Today I salute those who say I want help.
I have seen multiple counselors here and they are all friendly, courteous, and professional. The owner, Jeffrey Robbins has been my therapist for over a year and I have definitely seen the improvement in my life as I learn to cope with everyday fears and trials. I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts without being judged. Do not be afraid to seek help as you will be on a path to bettering yourself by coming here.
Very helpful front desk staff. Jeffrey has done more than help me deal with my problems. He has helped me understand the underlying reasons for my issues. Because of this, I have been able to move forward with my life, and avoid and break the cycle of repeating behaviors. I am much happier now than I have ever been.
I have been greatly helped by Dawn. She is very smart and has taught me a lot about PTSD. I was ready to give up on my marriage, but in a few short months, I have found the courage to fight for my relationship. I will continue to see Dawn as I am learning something helpful every visit.
Two years ago I was diagnosed by the VA hospital with PTSD. The doctors there put me on medication and I said I needed professional counseling. They got me an appointment with Jeffrey D. Robbins at Professional Counseling Service in the Killeen office. I didn’t know what was wrong. I know I needed help and I didn’t know how to get it. It was very hard to talk about the things that happened years ago when I came home from Vietnam.
Professional Counseling Service has helped me grow emotionally and psychologically. My counselor is very insightful, caring, and a great listener. The staff is just as caring and would follow up on appointments.
I highly recommend the counselors at Professional Counseling Service. My son had a positive experience with Michelle Kline and I have worked with Warren Townsend for a number of years. Warren has helped me tremendously. His experience, depth of knowledge, and compassion have been a blessing to me. I have used Warren as a consultant to my company, and I will continue to refer my friends and employees to Professional Counseling Service. Excellent therapists!
My son and daughter see Michelle Rayon a weekly basis. While they were both apprehensive about therapy, each one immediately found comfort during their individual time with her and they have looked forward to each appointment since. She has taken the time to get to know each of them and they have found her to be considerate and trustworthy. They value her confidence and consider her office a safe place. I appreciate that she has taken the time to research outside of her time in the office with my kids, and have seen continued improvement. Thank you so much!
I have been coming to Professional Counseling Service since the end of August, 2016 with my one nice and I have seen her become more confident in herself. Professional Counseling Service is helping her with her emotions and grief from both her parents dying. I started bring my second niece in March, 2017. I have seen some improvement in her. We still have a ways to go, but I am confident with Professional Counseling Service’s help my niece will do great. Thank you Mr. Robbins
